I’m often so scared to talk about money, and I feel like so many of us in the artistic community (and especially as women) have a stigma against bringing up rates, monetizing creativity, etc. I really want to change this about my own personality in 2019.Making Money on Social Media, Best Instagram 2019, Art photography instagram, Ganni Girls, Ganni Dress, Ganni, Make Money Off of Your Art, Women Empowerment, The Net Set, Asha Raval, Editorial Fashion Blog, Indian Model, Creative Life, Net-a-Porter Editorial, Polka Dot Dress

I certainly have struggles with valuing myself and what I do.  Because I am self taught and word with my iphone, I often think my photography or content skills aren’t good enough to charge clients money and have SO often settled for free products instead of $$ because of those limiting beliefs.Making Money on Social Media, Best Instagram 2019, Art photography instagram, Ganni Girls, Ganni Dress, Ganni, Make Money Off of Your Art, Women Empowerment, The Net Set, Asha Raval, Editorial Fashion Blog, Indian Model, Creative Life, Casadei, Still Life Photography

This makes me truly sad and angry at myself.  I often provide brands with basically free ad campaigns that are filled with my vision, ideas, hours and hours of my effort, props and equipment I have bought myself, and not to mention hours of post production editing.  All of this is worth so much value, and when we don’t charge and raise our standards as artists is easy for others to dismiss what we do as a “hobby” or “side project”. The good news is that our creativity and future it in our hands!

DON’T SETTLE for the mediocre or average! Set a high standard for yourself and let others rise up to meet you! Abundance is already present within you. Let’s not limit ourselves!

  1. Totally agree with you!! Many people feel content just getting free products, but if you’re doing this professionally (even if you’re self-taught, your work is as much interesting and valid as any other professional pictures!) a beauty serum won’t pay the bills!! This kind of post is SO important! So have you been charging your latest clients?
